Change Nothing ♫

Jessica Sanchez's Change Nothing did not make as much noise as Phillip Phillips Home but as I stumbled upon it on Twitter, I actually loved it. It's a great song but not a finale song definitely. So, give it another chance and watch/listen to it here. Don't mind the fanvid if you don't want to feel all mushy. I am just amazed at how fans make extra effort to make videos for their idols. They even made this:

Hahaha! Cute!

Anyways, here is the music video already:

Enjoy guys! Happy Sunday!

Gratitude

**photos from the web**

Based on the Blog Awards that I know, blog world has categories. There are Food Blogs, Lifestyle Blogs, Travel Blogs, Tech Blogs..etc. As much as I want to aim for the travel blog, I can't. FOR NOW! Who knows? I might do travel as a hobby. Dream Big!

Anyways, If I have to assess my own blog, it could probably fall into Lifestyle blogging. But, I want to make my own category: The Gratitude Blog. As you must have observed, this spot right here is full of extra muuuuushy thank you's and unending appreciation of all things. I always fill it with the people, the places, the food and all the things that I love. If you get bored with all my thank-you entries, revert to this entry. I would want this to be free of rants and negativity as I want this to be a happy place. So, if you forget how great the world is, come and get all cheesy with me. Let us all celebrate life. Let us say our thank you's and smile away.

By the way, I got time to read previous entries and I noticed I use the word "hence" a loooot. Hahaha! Hence..Hence..Hence...plural form of the feminine of rooster. Corny! Don't get tired of it though, because I sometimes use "thus". K? See? I even try so hard to be funny just to make this a happy place.Chos!

I believe that your blog should reflect yourself. If you want to start a blog of your own, think of the things that you are fond of, thinks and experiences that you want to share. If you are afraid that grammar-conscious  people will criticize you, don't! Visit Divine Lee's blog and you will see. Susme! Keber sa grammar and punctuation marks teh! Gow lang ng gow sa beckiness and fun. And people love it, because that's what she is -young and wild and free- and funny and cool and fashionista! It is her all over. That is what your blog should be. This is me, speaking from my own experience, because you must know I have 3 avid readers. That is why I am putting all my heart and soul to this, for my readers. Thank you fans! More than 2 is many!! Duh?! I kid. ;p

Now. If you love gratitude and showing it. Be my guest.

Spread Love!

Triple Treat 웃웃웃

Let me start this entry by some words I stumbled upon on Twitter as this is actually the reason I am inspired to write today. According to studies:

People who spend more money on experiences than material items are more likely to be deep, contented and happy.
-- @UberFacts (follow them on Twitter if you want interesting, funny and unusual facts)

By "experiences", I would interpret it as life events or MOMENTS. So, if you have got some time and resources in your hands, think about quality time with family, friends and loved ones. It does not have to be grand. A little getaway, a sumptuous lunch, a well-planned dinner could be enough.

So, that being said. Let me share to you one of my MOMENTS with friends.

My yagit friends and I planned a small getaway to Dumaguete. Eversince I tasted their famous Silvannas, it attracted me to the city. This is actually my 2nd time.

We chose the "via Oslob" route but ended up riding the bus via Liloan by mistake. Hahaha! To justify that, it was actually a faster alternative. ;p

We took the 6:00AM schedule. We were the last passengers on the bus so we ended up sitting rows away from each other -with texting as our means of communication. Gracey was seated in between 2 men and was a bit scared so - being the frequent bus passenger that I was way back in college - I taught her a simple trick "play dead". That is, headphones plugged, eyes closed and sunglasses worn. Not to be sad though, in about 2 hours we were reunited as my seatmates reached their destination.
Happy faces!!

Together again!
It was only until we heard the driver shout "Liloan!!!O kinsa to pa-Dumaguete diha!!!" that we realized we were on the wrong bus. We laughed it off and carried on with the route.

Liloan Ferry Terminal
To the ferry
After arriving via Ferry. We had to take a pedicab ride to the city proper.
Front seat ;p

We arrived at around 11.30AM.

Hotel check-in is at 2:00PM so we just left our bags and grabbed lunch at Jo's Chicken Inasal.

To kill time, we strolled on their famous Rizal Boulevard (our most visited part) and stopped by our main target "Sans Rival" for dessert.
Strolling.
Sans Rival quick fix.

Finally, at 1:00PM we checked-in, had some rest (longer than agreed!), freshened up and got ready for 2nd half of Day 1.

Geli, you ready? ;p

We walked most of the time.

As Divine Lee would say "I-avail ang Kodakan!". So, photo fest it is. 8D

First stop: Rizal Boulevard (again!)

2nd stop: Siliman University
The challenge of this trip is how to always have the three of us in one picture. So, we overused the camera timer. We used our charms on security guards. Hahaha! The extend-your-hand-to-the-side-and-hope-we-all-fit trick also comes handy.

Timer.
Security Guard.
Security Guard.
Timer.
Tired from all the timer jump shots. Hahaha! (Extend-your-hand-to-the-side... trick)

3rd stop and Dinner: Robinsons Mall. We did some groceries for our little slumber pary. No pictures as we were all hungry.

Finally, last stop: Baluuuuuutttt! This is at the Rizal Boulevard by the way. Yes, again! Hahaha! But this time with the street lamps lighted.

Scouring for Balut.

Balut lovers. Triple the fun. Double the Balut! :)

SLUMBER PARTY.

Part of the plan was to have some mani-pedi. But if you have three hyperactive and diet unconscious girls in one room, this is what happens:

Another plan was movie marathon. But the moment the 1st movie (Horrible Bosses) started, one by one we slowly crawled to our bed and snoozed away. I remember waking up to the sounds of gun shots in the movie. Hahaha! So, no mani-pedi and no movie marathon just bulay-og moves, kengkoy moments and picture-picture.

DAY 2.
Early morning walk.

Breakfast at Sans Rival is one of our most-awaited part. See the outfits? We did not prepare for this ;p

Food is delish. If you happen to visit the place, do not dare miss their sans rival and silvannas. It is enough reason to go to Dumaguete.

Full and ready to pose, we headed to the Boulevard for last-minute pictures.

Then, it was time to say goodbye and go back to Cebu. Buhbye!! It was short but we sure had so much memories. The travel takes 4-5 hours (1 way) which is a lot of time but it was all a part of the fun EXPERIENCE. It does not really matter where you go, if you are with great friends, the destination is only an icing to the cake. I was blessed to have taken this trip with Geli and Gracey who are cool, funny, ironically girly but cowboy, and probably with the same wavelengths as mine. To more trips together!!!

Barge from Dumaguete to Oslob.

If I have to describe the city in one word, it would be LAIDBACK. This is where you can take your time. Walk slow. Deep breath. Endless talk. Relax! Away from the hustle of the busy Cebu city. 8D

More moments coming up. 8D
