I just turned 20 last September 16 and I really love it. Well, I'm celebrating my 20th year in this wonderful world and there's just so many things to be thankful about. I've been so blessed and I guess it's time to say thank you for all the great gifts that I have received. Here are the 20 things that I have been truly blessed with:
GOD.
He is and will forever be the greatest thing that happened to my life.
DADDY.
My source of inspiration. My confidante. My strength. My guardian angel. My father. I can still remember all the good times we had. He was always patient, kind and happy. My childhood days wouldn't be the best without him. I remember...after dinner time, we(with my brothers and sisters) would gather in our terrace and have some "question question" with him, while he's drinking some beer. He'll ask us trivia questions and then it's a race on who's gonna be the first to answer it correctly. All were really good memories. I lost hope when he passed away but after some time I realized that every thing happens for a reason. For this gift, I will forever be thankful.
MOMMY.
She carried me in her womb for 9 months and she took care of me for 20 years. Without her, I wouldn't be enjoying all these gifts. When daddy passed away, she acted as a father and a mother to us and she did great. I salute her for being so strong yet so sweet. For this gift, I say a million thanks.
MANONG.
He is a priest and is really respected by a lot people. He is at the same time my eldest brother who is sweet, kind, samokan pero ulitan(hehehe) and understanding. He fills my inbox with "i love you's", "i miss you's" and "take care's". He often texts me to check how I'm doing and it always feels good. He's a blessing.
MANANG.
Nothing compares to the care that she gives everyone. She's intelligent, kind, generous and really loving. She's also a good cook which is evident in her body(hehehe). She's such a great sister that I didn't worry a bit when she became a mother. Well, who wouldn't be thankful for having her as a sister?
WINKYDO.
Hmm...Manoy is tall, dark and handsome. He is the most patient person I've met. I can easily talk him on cooking our meals during the times mommy is out of town. His specialty is sinugba(hehehe). He's super nice that I hardly see him angry. I already miss him so much 'coz he went out of the country for work. Well, he's also giving me a nice gift for my birthday (hehehe!). Thank You!
INTOT.
Kuya is a funny guy. He can easily make me laugh. When he talks, do expect a punch line. Though, lately he's been a bit serious. I like it when he sings, he's got a really nice voice. Sometimes, he can be really sweet. It's always great to have him around. He's a gift.
GURNESS.
Ate Nikki..but I fondly call her "gur". She's my sister, best friend, best enemy, fashion guru, ukay-mate and chikamate. There's defeinitely no dull moments with her. She shares to me everything, or so I think. When she comes home, it's always fun and her stay there is always not enough. We always call each other for updates, and talk about what's new, what's hot and what's not(hehehe)! She is in love right now and I'm so happy for her. She is heaven sent.
JANJAN.
Jiji, ij-ij, jangjang, naji...just a few of the names I call him. He's my big brother but I don't call him "kuya". We usually have chingching moments where we talk about anything that comes to mind. He may not be as funny as kuya but he also makes me laugh.
LANCE & JUSTIN.
The latest members of the family. Lance, my nephew. Justin, my niece. Babies always bring joy to the family and yes they did.
COUSINS.
They are one of the reasons why I love family gatherings. It's always good to see them. It's fun exchanging stories with them. There are always changes everytime we meet since we don't see each other too often, and it's so interesting to listen to the stories behind those changes.
SISTERS BY HEART.
Kym & Connie. I consider them my sisters not by blood but by heart. They are the ones I have shared a lot of experiences with. I've been friends with Connie since grade 3, she's my neighbor, so we go to school together until high school.Too sad, we're not in the same school in college.
Kym is my classmate in college since 1st year-2nd sem. Then, she had become my roommate. Now, she's in a pad with her sister.
Though we're always together we never run out of topics to talk about. Our family considers them a part of the family. They are my sisters.
BLOODLINE.
My ancestors. My aunts and uncles. My grandparents. I owe them the great genes.
FRIENDS.
I've met a lot of people and has lots of friends. All touched my life. All made a difference.
LESSONS.
Some I've learned in school. Some I've encountered in the streets. Some I've heard. Most of these I've learned through my mistakes. For all these, I am grateful.
CRUSHES.
Notice the plural form?Of course there is a number of them...the cuties and the hearththrobs. They lighten up my day. They put a smile into my face. They are a source of inspiration. Why shouldn't I be thankful?
TALISAYAN.
My home town. There's just something about hometowns that keep us coming back. Well, the family is there. Talisayan is a place I'll always come home to. I love the beach. I simply love it.
DOLORES COMPOUND.
My second home. Here, I have met a lot of people and build friendship with them. Like home, I can just be myself. Like home, I admire the things I see when I wake up each morning. Like home, I miss the people whom I share it with, at times I'm not there.
CELEBRATIONS.
Christmas is the time where family members come home. I sooo love it. Fiesta simply spells FOOD. Birthday celebrations make me remember my worth. Celebrations are really fun.
MYSELF.
I am not perfect, 'coz nobody is. Even then, I am happy for the gift of myself, for the gift of my life.
T-H-A-N-K Y-O-U!!!
