This brings back so much memories. Well, my mom said at age 6, I was supposed to be just a visitor of that Grade 1 class but because my Lola was soooo patient in teaching me how to read using this nipis-more-of-a-pamphlet-abakada-book, I ended up being a regular student. Yey!Hahaha!
Then, as far as I can remember I began reading non-stop because of this:
From Kids to Twins to High to Junior High..the list goes on. It was mainly the reason why I availed of our library card in high school, then I started getting other books aside from Sweet Valley. We also have this set of books at home that features short stories, my personal favorite was "Coal in a Cadillac".
Those Pinoy novels did not escape from me as well, I read it with my cousin and we'll get kilig together. Hahaha! Back in college,it was Mary Higgins Clark, Sidney Sheldon, John Grisham to name a few. And the rest they say is history...
- From "The Little Prince" -- It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.
- I am currently reading John Grisham's The Innocent Man, but The Pelican Brief tops my list.
- Fortune is a Woman is an inspiring story of a Chinese girl's fight for survival.
- Eat. Pray. Love.
- Carrie Diaries. Candice Bushnell. Girl Talk.
- Harry Potter series made me stay up until the wee hours.
- Ivanhoe is one story that never fails to connect me with my Dad. A scene, a name...he was the best storyteller.
How about you? What is your favorite story?
GOAL:
Short-term: Read all of John Grisham's books.
Long-term: My own library. ;)
